aa (my e-mail host): it reminds me of what aliens who are intercepting our earth entertainment transmissions might sound like. The setlist here is divided up oddly I know. The first three lists were actually played simultaneously by the three performers in attendance. The last part was a completely impromptu tag team session to cover the first 2/3 of this week's Perfect_Dark. I was much happier with the engineering in this set than I was with the first ambient experiement, a lot less grindy and muddy, generally a good balance between sounds and a diverse enough and unpredictable enough flow. Certainly kept us open-minded I think. Big thanks this week go out to those in attendance: Audiophile, pHonaut, and of course to those who provided me with material for the set: Miles Tillman, Adam Johnson & Merck recordings, Hefty records, Surgery records, Esa Ruoho & U-cover recordings. Big ups.

2007.11 addendum: this was an interesting experiment where we left all of the microphones on for the whole set. worth checking out I think.
