Pat Sisson, DJ Skinny, DJ Xanax, Gabe & Birdie, Al-x, Serena, Lori, Rob Ray, Machwhat, Lee Chameleon, Kim, Collin, & James all supported. Suprenant came too... but just a bit late, and Michelle from Demi was there much later as well.
Overall good vibe, not too packed and not too hectic. Maybe minor setbacks were the fact that club-goers in Chicago have early bedtimes and that we had a point in the middle of the party where Suprenant came up and asked if we were going to be playing anything other than hiphop for the rest of the night ;] The party had seriously thinned out by the time I left around 5. In fact, I inadverdantly ended up with somewhat of a peak-hour set, although usually these events peak no earlier than 3am.
Kim & James also noted that I played some pretty old stuff (at least beyond my years in terms of techno), so I'll list some of the early release dates - The Climax (1990 - reissued), Clonk (1990), The Caliber EP (1994), El Jem (1994), Adventures in Techno Soul (1996), Mastered at Pametex (1996) & Il.ek.tro (1998). Big props for the inspiration of The Climax, and to everyone who came in and jammed out even though I was playing outrageous techno instead of the high-quality downtempo grooves of Burton before me (awesome live PA) and Striz after me (tight funky downtempo set as always).
