this was a bit of a frustrating set for me, since originally damon lamar and specter were scheduled to play on the night but couldn't due to the turntables being unpatched in the streetbeat setup. this was compounded by specter trying to 'fix' the situation and further dismantling the patches for the dj setup. finally I ended up playing some tracks one-at-a-time and an excerpt from my Modern Funk set. the night was redeemed by a nice conversation with dj jazzy L and a successful orientation session with youliana.
